Welcome to my internship in Kazakhstan!

Hi everyone! Welcome on terezkaexploreskazakhstan. blogspot.com !!

My name is Terezka, I'm 24 years old student from Czech republic and I've decided to go for summer 2013 for an internship in Kazakhstan through AIESEC. AIESEC is non-profit student organisation, which helps students to develop and discover their potential through membership or internship.

On this blog you can find some moments and information about my lovely stay and experience.

My duty was teach students about leadership and things connected with it. This project was called International Summer School of Leadership (ISSL) and took part every working day for 6 weeks.

Whole internship has been an experience, which has definitely changed me and become an unforgettable memory for my whole life. This project has given me an opportunity to make new friendships, discover new culture and myself more. I have enjoyed it and I sincerely recommend everyone to try it on their own!

Before you start to read passionately, I'd like to thank to those, who helped me to realise this adventure.

The biggest thank you belongs to MY FAMILY
than to my supportive friends and
of course... AIESEC.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH & LOVE YOU!

So welcome once more and if you are interested in some details, which are not in this blog, feel free to contact me. I'd be glad to share with you adventure :-)

Enjoy your reading! <3

Last day!Sooo early!

Thursday – my last day of internship. What should I do? Say good bye :-(

In the morning I've told students about my country and Minh about Vietnam. I think students were quite curious and interested to visit my place :-) Horaay, we'll see each other again! After the break a photo shooting my lovely students have prepared for me surprise. They have bought a cake, drinks and cups. And they bought me gifts! Earrings - I love them! They made me sooo happy! That's the thing I love the most - earrings! :-) They have also created and written for me best wishes and memory card and bought me t-shirt! I was really surprised, glad and nervous together. I couldn't also cut the cake, how happy and nervous I was! It's one if the nicest thing, that someone's done for me! I need to admit, my eyes got wet. Such an unique and beautiful moment it was.. Later on we've played "I've never..." and it has been really fun. They were absolutely no shy and so curious! I've enjoyed it a lot. The last question was only for me: "Have you enjoyed your time here?" I've taken a deep breath and answered. "Honestly? I thought about it yesterday, when I've been creating ppt about my stay. And my answer is yes, I have.." Even though there were some difficulties, I've had nice time here. Especially thanks to my new Kazakh family (interns), new friends and students, I've got a chance to get to know.. I've shared my experiences, said last goodbye, taken last hugs and pictures, listened song "We love you Tereza, we do..", enjoyed the moment and remembered it 4ever. Thank you very much, love you and see you!!

For our lunch we had with Minh only sushi - so much cake and sweets in the morning :-)) Last moments in Mega, so weird! We've also bought with Minh the same bracelet :-) So sweet :-**

The evening class was also very happy and sad together. We've talked about interview from yesteday. We wanted to dance, but the music hasn't worked. So I also couldn't showed my ppt about my stay.. But we've also played "I've never.." and than counting to 7&/7 and it was fun. I've bought for students something sweet and juice too and we've had a little fun together. We've also made some pictures, got last hugs and kisses and wrote sugarcubes.. The stay is really at the end. Thank you all for everything, you've done for me.And you've done a lot!
Thank you and miss you :o**

But the evening is not at the end – party time :-)))) After one of  our normal dinners, we went out. Yes, good bye with Minh and Brendanek. Party untill the sun is up :-) And finish with ice-cream :-)) Love it, thank you my lovely friends.

You’ve made my last day amazing <3 Always together!

Interview and goodbye Stef!

After a few hours of sleep, let’s go and say good bye to Stefania. It's her last day. We've played the game about guessing the thing on the paper, got enthusiastic and crazy. Students have later prepare a surprise for her - delicious cake, something to drink and many beautiful wishes and presents. It was so amazing.. So wonderful. They are angels - maybe with the spirit of devil a little bit. But it's what I like :-)

After lunch (Mega again :-) we made a session with Minh about interview. It’s interesting to get to know others :-)

And what with the evening? Minh has cooked for me her traditional Vietnamese food. So delicious!! Very nice way how to finish my internship. Thank you very much, Minh :-*

Rachat, Green Bazar & Selling

My plan for today - visit non-visited chocolate factory and street market and in the evening run a session. Mission completed.

I've arranged meeting with Aisha today. I've arrived by metro. After late meeting, we went to Rachat - chocolate factory (there is unfortunately only shop) and picked up many candies in - sooo delicious.. The chocolate smells all around. And so much people go there to buy it. They know, what is good :-))

Later on we went for a lunch. Local food is delicious. The don't spare with butter, oil or sugar, so everything is tasty. And even though they eat a little bit unhealthy, they are thin. I believe, it's due to their nonstop activity and the way of spending free time - go out and not stay in front of the computer. Anyway after delicious lunch we went to Green Bazar - clothes, shoes and even food and drink are here. Simply everything. I'm getting hungry to write it.

After the tourist journey, I went to school and we run the session about selling skills with Stef. See a video, give some knowledge and support students to sell. I believe it was successful. Students study simply quickly :-) And they taught me also a lot.

But the day is not over. Minh has arrived from Biskek. So let's go celebrate. Journey which starts on 11:30 and finish on 7 am. Great karaoke.
Toniiiight, we are young!!! Love ya!

I will love you Monday..

Back to reality and school after the weekend :-)) In the morning Wajiha took a session and started with creating business plan. I've tried to prepare for the evening classes too.

After the lunch we've spoken with Stef and I was glad, we’ve cleared the air little bit :-) We run the session about business plan together and made students also creative. I really admire their ideas. So cool.

In the evening I've prepared something for my journey after Kazakhstan and I've cooked for myself. I think, I can get marry soon :-)) What a peaceful day..

Charyl Canyon

Today we booked ticket to Charyl Canyon. Me, Aisha, Brendan and Wajiha have been to Charyl Canyon!

Meeting on 7:30 was pretty challenging, but we made it. The journey with the bus took 3-4 hours! Sooo long! At least we has one stop, where we went for a toilet and water. But about the toilet thing – ehm ehm, not to share rather :-))

The journey in Charyl Canyon was interesting and educating. Our tour guide gave us a lot of information though Aisha translation skills. For example Aport - world known apple, which has given the name to Almaty (alma-apple) and so much more.

When we finally stopped at Charyl Canon, our adventure there has begun. First we went down to the canyon. We walked in the group and guide showed us some sculptures - there were watching man, dog with turtle or just sofa. We've also walked through “the wish cave”, where your dreams come through. We walked for 1,5 hour. It was sooo hot.:-D But after that we found a river. Time to have a break with lunch near the river. We ate some biscuits, fish, bread, vegetable, aport from some nice tourists and we had fun in the river.

Our journey back was even more exciting. We climbed up the Canyon. I cannot image to climb this in Europe - no security at all! But we made it. And the view was amazing, stunning. We took a lot if pictures and then went to our bus and finished our journey with 3,5 journey in bus. I slept a lot.

In the evening I was groggy.. But still at the end of the day I was really glad to went there. I've seen unique Canyon and I cannot compare it with anything and I've get2know my friends better!

FREEDOM!!
