Decision made. Preparation started. Internship in Kazakhstan only a few steps ahead

Hi everyone, who has come to this blog!

My name is Terezka and I’m an university student, who enjoys travelling and discovering new things. My passion for these things leads me to travel and discovering the beauty of this world.

This summer I’ve decided for adventure in Almaty, Kazakhstan. I wanted to spend this summer abroad and it went to decision to trust student non-profit organization AIESEC  and go abroad with them. Again. I’ve already experienced an internship with them in Yingge, Taiwan and it was amazing. I’ve given it another chance. For internship in Taiwan you can visit: http://terezkaexplorestaiwan.blogspot.com/ I’ve found out few interesting internships for me, made some proposals, passed some interviews and from all these processes I’ve chosen the internship in ALMATY in KAZAKHSTAN with the program THE INTERNATIONAL SUMMER SCHOOL OF LEADERSHIP.

This internship sounds like a great project with an amazing opportunity for me – to get to know different culture and discover new things about this topic, others and myself.

Kazakhstan's flag
Sooo.. Let’s start the adventure! It has begun pretty serious when I’ve bought a plane ticket and started to getting to know, what do I actually need to go there. Visa. Well it shouldn’t be problem, but because of my laziness and indecision I’ve started to get necessary documents later and my invitation letter was not able to come on time.. So what now? I want to go there, I’ve already bought a plane ticket? Well, do NOT GIVE UP! I’ve asked for visa only for 30 days and we will see, when am I going to return back. After a week I’ve picked them up with two hours waiting. . I guess, it was the first experience with time management with Kazakhstan :-))

I’ve also bought some food and drinks like slivovice, becherovka, Czech bread, Májka (let say it’s a cream from pork for bread – I’m not sure if they are going to eat it, but it’s worth to try), Czech beer Plzeň,.. and I’ve asked for some souvenirs form my city to other trainees and promotion my city. They were very willing to help, so I’ve got a lot of it! And of course I’ve bought Czech flag (Tesco has saved me :-))

For preparation I’ve bought only travel insurance and it has been almost everything. I’ve been vaccinated last year for almost everything and I’ve also gotten some medicine from last year.

So may the journey begin!
